How is auto-upgrade beneficial to the users?

With auto-upgrade, you can seamlessly access newer versions of the application without having to manually upgrade it. You can review the resolved issues and enhancements of the latest version using the release notes link and upgrade the application to stay up to date.

When can auto-upgrade be deferred?

Users can choose to defer the upgrade for 30 days, Spreadsheet Server then reminds them of the upgrade. It enforces the automatic upgrade post the 60 days grace period. This remains the same for maintenance releases.

What is the Pause Upgrade feature in Application Configurator?

The Pause Upgrade feature allows an insightsoftware support executive to disable auto-upgrade checks for a customer for 30 days. This pauses the notifications and execution of auto-upgrade, and is accessible through a separate Application Configurator login only if required. For SAP customers, executives can disable the upgrade for a period of one year.

How can users rollback to a previous version?

Contact customer support to rollback to a previous version of the application.

Is Auto-Upgrade available to all customers?

The auto-upgrade feature is available to all Platform customers on version 23.1 and higher.

Are there any changes to the installation process?

With the addition of the auto-upgrade feature, the Platform Installer installs the files to %localappdata%\insightsoftware as opposed to Program Files.
